Poppy von Poel is a beautiful 2-3 year old smaller sized Shepherd mix.  A beautiful girl with a gentle soul, Poppy comes out of the kennels a bit shy but walks well on leash, right next to you. She tends to walk slowly, as she is currently tentative in her new environment. She meets dogs great and is comfortable walking in a pack.  While she tends to stand in one spot and observe her surroundings initially, once comfortable, she gladly follows you around. In fact, she will curl up next to you in hopes of being petted. Poppy is learning her “Sit” command and takes treats gently. Playgroups are a special time for this gentle lady, and she does great with all present. Initially she joins her fellow romping canines somewhat unsure of herself and follows the staff around for a bit, but, once comfortable, she starts meeting the other dogs. Your kindness and patience will gradually build her confidence, and you will find that you have brought a gem into your life and home.
